Microsoft is trying to broaden its Zune marketing campaign with a tour of hip hop shows back the USA. Shows will be held in LA, Chicago and New York, starting at the end of the month. The events are pretty straight forward focusing on music, games and food, plus a few Zune related activities.
Lala has just suspended the majority of its on-demand streaming services. The company not long ago launches this streaming service for free even though the costs of broadcasting is high and about to rise even higher. 30 second clips of this streaming service is still available, but no more full length tracks.
Samsung Electronics on Thursday said it has partnered with MusicNet in launching in Europe a music service designed for its digital media players, the latest chapter in the company’s uphill battle against the market-leading Apple (iPod).
Jon Johansen a Norwegian hacker claims that he has found a way to activate a brand new unactivated iPhone without signing up to the AT&T service. Napster is warning investors that the incompatibility of the tracks it sells with the new iPhone could hurt sales.
